About YSP
YSP is a nationally acclaimed
program with 25 years experience in bringing together young people to perform full-length Shakespeare plays or, in our workshops, complete scenes from Shakespeare's best loved works. Participants range in age from 7 to 18 years old. There are no "auditions." Anyone of approximately the right age may register and will receive one or more speaking roles.
Intern & Apprentice Directors at YSP
For more than two decades, young intern and apprentice directors have helped create the YSP productions.
These young directors are always veterans of YSP. They help lead every phase of the productions such as overseeing rehearsals, guiding actors through memorizing goals, scheduling and overseeing run-throughs and special rehearsals, assigning tech roles, and helping dress rehearsals and performances to run smoothly.
